Donate clothing, furniture and household items in Richmond upon Thames
Everything you donate is sold locally at affordable prices, and 100% of our net operating profit goes straight back into coaching, work experience and training for people in the borough who face barriers to employment.
What we can take
If it's clean, safe and still has life in it, there's a good chance someone in Richmond is looking for it.
Furniture
Sofas, armchairs, tables, chairs, bookcases and drawers in resaleable condition. Upholstered items need their fire safety label.
Household goods
Kitchenware, crockery, small working electricals, lamps, mirrors, pictures, books, toys and games with all their pieces.
What we sadly can't accept
- · Damaged, stained or heavily worn items
- · Upholstered furniture without a fire safety label
- · Mattresses, cots and car seats
- · Built-in appliances, gas appliances or anything needing installation
- · Flat-pack furniture that has already been dismantled

How donating works
1. Check your items
Ask yourself whether you'd happily give it to a friend. If yes, we can almost certainly sell it and turn it into local support.
2. Choose drop-off or collection
Small bags and boxes are easiest brought to the shop. For furniture and larger loads, email us with photos and your postcode and we'll arrange the practicalities.
3. Your donation goes to work
Items are sorted, priced and put on the shop floor. Anything we can't sell is reused or recycled responsibly rather than sent to landfill.
Dropping off
Bring bags and boxes to the shop during opening hours — Monday to Saturday, 9:30am to 5pm.
Larger items
For furniture and bulky loads across Richmond upon Thames, contact us first with photos and your postcode so we can plan the lift.
Where your donation ends up
Sold items fund work training and employment support for local people, and you can follow the results on our impact page and in-store impact boards.
